Solo trombone - Jack

Martin Crosby - 2nd trombone

Martin started playing the Baritone with the Scunthorpe Royal British Legion Junior Band aged seven. While watching his older brother on Trombone, an old sailor with a hook nose threatened he’d make Martin walk the plank if he didn’t take up an instrument. Martin needed no more encouragement!!! Moving on to Euphonium a few years later Martin played in various bands around the Scunthorpe area. After a stint at University in London playing trombone with Ercol Band, Martin moved to Leeds and joined Yeadon Old Band where he went back to the Euphonium. Following a short break from playing Martin joined Stanley Newmarket Colliery Band on second trombone joining his brother. Martin joined Hebden Bridge in 2007 on 2nd Euphonium to help out in the areas and has stayed ever since! He has now moved back on to trombone and is making a remarkable job, despite being christened "Lurpak Man" by a former M.D!
